At Embers Polesden Lacey, we are proud to offer the unique experience of camping at one of England’s most beautiful National Trust properties. As the campsite is located near to the main house within the grounds of the Polesden Lacey Estate, you have direct access during opening hours to the House, Gardens and further afield the 1,400 acres of ancient woodland and trails can be explored.
Whether you decide to explore one of the four main estate walks by foot, visit the main house or simply laze in shade overlooking the views over the Surrey Hills and listen to Jazz on a Sunday afternoon you will be pushed to tire of the stunning grounds at Polesden Lacey.

The estate has played host to royalty throughout history. The location and picturesque views across the Surrey Hills was the perfect setting for entertaining the high society during the early part of the 20th Century.
Polesden Lacey offers a wide choice of delicious home-cooked dishes, to tasty treats and refreshments to accommodate all your needs having explored the vast estate. The Granary Café and Cow Shed coffee shop serve both hot and cold meals and a selection of cakes, brownies and scones for an afternoon tea in a perfect setting.
The shop has many different gifts to choose from including hand-crafted wooden dishes to jams and chutneys for the kitchen cupboards.
Polesden Lacey offers a wide choice of delicious home-cooked dishes to tasty bites and refreshments to accommodate all your needs having explored the vast estate.
The Coffee Shop, situated near the main entrance, offers freshly made sandwiches, hot light lunches and sweet treats. Everything is served in takeaway containers to either enjoy in the coffee shop or be taken into the grounds, where you can find a special spot to relax and enjoy the view.
In the Café you'll find the full menu, with a variety of dishes, including unique dishes reflecting the spirit of Polesden Lacey. They also have a range of delectable cakes and classic cream teas.
Here at Embers we have everything you may need to make your stay an authentic and comfortable one, and as a result we’re sure you’ll have a fantastic stay!Our spacious Grass Pitches are perfect for pitching your tent, or have the ease of a Bell Tent pre-erected before your arrival. There’s bedding, ice-box and bunting options too! Our pitches are all around the outside of each site looking in towards a large field, so children (and Adults!) can run about & play games. Being car free and not and no cars means that it's safe to play.
We offer on site catering such as freshly made wood-fired pizzas that are truly delicious - keep an eye out for an email about 1 week before your arrival, we send out arrival instructions and a link to follow where you can pre-order pizzas for your upcoming stay.

Our on-site shop provides camping essentials such as milk, fresh bread, snacks, hot drinks such as freshly ground coffee as well as bacon and eggs at reasonable prices. We’ve also got a fantastic ice cream freezer selling local Ice Cream in scoops and cones!
As the campsite is found within the unspoilt National Trust Polesden Lacey Estate, cars can only enter the campsite after 5pm for setting up camp. If you arrive between the hours of 2pm to 5pm, the campsite manager can shuttle bulky items such as tents to the campsite, otherwise you can walk onto site by footpath and use our trolleys. You could also wander and explore the beautiful estate from 2pm while you wait for friends to join you. Cars are parked overnight in the main National Trust Car Park, about a 10 minute walk from the campsite. Check out is 11am on the day of your departure, with all vehicles to be off site by 10am.
